This awe-inspiring, creative couple chose an epic location for their dream adventure session to celebrate their elopement! Jenni and Nolan hiked Black Balsam through the evergreen forest, up rock outcroppings, and past fairytale trees and views that would disappear into the most magical mist. They needed a spectacular location for such a special session - I think we found it on the perfect day!

Her one of a kind boots, accessories, and dress were perfectly complemented by his custom three piece suit. All of the loving details they chose were the perfect accents to accompany one of the most magical wedding dress up adventure sessions ever. We are so honored that they had us photograph their adventure and that we were able to fulfill their vision. Congratulations, Jenni and Nolan! I hope your session inspires more couples to dress up for once in a lifetime photo adventures like this!

Sky Mountain Wedding

Haley and Chris chose their favorite getaway destination, Asheville, as the location for their intimate mountain wedding.  They wanted to have a small gathering of friends and family for their celebration, so they opted for a small, mid-day ceremony and then headed to a brewery together.  It is our honor to get to share some of the engagement and wedding day photos from a perfect mountaintop ceremony and a few New Belgium brewery photos before they headed in for their wedding-day tour.

I always adore when we are able do an engagement photo session with my couples so they get to experience being photographed together and gives me a chance to get to know them a bit more before the wedding.  Thrilled that this adorable pair opted to go play as their engagement session on a rainy day in the River Arts District.  After that session, I knew this couple's Sky Mountain wedding would be a blast and it did not disappoint!

Their day could not have been more spectacular.  Sky Mountain has one of the most beautiful views of the downtown Asheville area.  This private residence hosts small gatherings - and the owners are the nicest people, having worked hard to create this picturesque event space.  It is always magical up there - and everyone feels lucky to get to visit.

There was so much love on that mountaintop that day!  After a casual lunch with the most spectacular view, we captured a few portraits then headed to New Belgium for a few more photos before we parted.  It is so wonderful to see a bride and groom embrace how they want to enjoy the day and it was my pleasure to get to help make their vision happen.

Wishing the best for this wonderful couple!

St Andrews Ceremony and Warehouse 18 Reception in Hickory, North Carolina - Hickory Wedding Photogra

It is always an honor to get to photograph a wedding in a new location, especially somewhere as lovely as Hickory, North Carolina on a fall day.  St Andrews Lutheran Church is simply gorgeous and was filled with love for Sarah and Patrick as family and friends gathered for the wedding ceremony.  I photographed Sarah's sister's wedding a few years ago and was so honored to get to be there for the family again, even though her sister was at home, 9 months pregnant, unable to travel. She recorded a perfect toast and was able to be there in spirit (and video chat).  Their reception venue, Warehouse 18, had so much character - rustic brick and antique chandeliers in a restored warehouse.  It was an awesome space to celebrate this amazing pair.

Green Mountain Farm Wedding

I am still swooning over this wedding at Green Mountain Farm.  This farm is truly one of the prettiest properties with gorgeous views, a cave, waterfall and pond, a lovely cabin and an old farmhouse (they rent via Air B&B if you want to see it for yourself!!).  When I connected with Lindsay and Dominic and heard all about her family’s *beautiful* farm that they were using for the wedding, I was ecstatic that they chose me to be their wedding photographer. Every detail was perfect – I just could not have had more greatness to capture.
