Kirk and Rae love to travel. For their anniversary each year, they go to a destination that they love, enjoy the best that area has to offer, and make a point to schedule a photo session to mark the occasion. This year brought them to the mountains near Asheville, North Carolina, and I was so glad I was the person that got to photograph them. It was fun to take a little adventure getting to photograph them in some beautiful spots. The huge love and fun energy between this couple was palatable, making our time together extra awesome and their photos extra special.

Wishing this happy couple the best for all the adventures, travels, and many many years of wedded bliss ahead! I hope we get to go play again someday!

Sarah and Rohit had the most wonderful destination wedding at Rumbling Bald at Lake Lure. The groom’s family traveled from India, just in time before COVID halted travel for a bit. It was a beautiful day for their lakeside gazebo wedding. From the moment I captured their first look, I knew I was photographing that one-in-a-million true love. This couple’s sweet way with each other and the caring way they interact with their family and friends says so much about what amazing people they are. It is always an honor to get to be a couple’s wedding photographer, but when the bride and groom are this awesome, it makes it even more special. Cheryl and Bradley have such fun energy between them and they keep those around them smiling. I was smitten with them and their sweet story from the first time we met. This pair has the most wonderful family and friends that were there to support them. Their rescue tripod pup, Batman, was the ring bearer for the wedding and looked dapper dressed in a tux to match the groom and groomsmen. Cheryl was stunning in her gown with beaded adornments on the sheer overlay. The men were in classic tuxes and the ladies were dressed in coral, with coral and blue accents throughout the floral and decor.

Their April Lake Lure Inn wedding day could not have been more spectacular. They were married lakeside in the gazebo, surrounded by family and friends, then returned to the inn for the poolside veranda reception. They celebrated, dancing the night away and into married life. It was my pleasure to be their photographer and loved working with Brave Sir Media as they captured video of the day.

I loved being Anne and Eddie’s wedding photographer for their early spring Weaver House wedding in Weaverville, North Carolina. This fun couple is nothing short of amazing and it has been an honor to photograph them! Every moment of their day was so special – the love letters they sent each other before the ceremony, the bride’s first look with her mom, their heartfelt ceremony surrounded by their favorite people, the wedding feast, dance floor filled with joyous dancing all night, old and new friends and family celebrating together, and ending with a beautiful sparkler exit. It couldn’t have been a more beautiful day to celebrate these two!

They had perfect weather for their outdoor garden ceremony on an early spring day at the Weaver House. This venue is a magical place tucked behind a fence on Main street. Once you enter, you would never guess you are in town. The garden is stunning with an Asian inspired floating stone path to the gazebo surrounded by bamboo. They chose the perfect place for their big day.

Each year I look forward to photographing the Winter Lights at the NC Arboretum! As the temperatures drop and the edit queue is full of weddings, portraits, corporate, commercial, events, and adventures, capturing Winter Lights has become the best holiday tradition. I am so glad I wrapped a session just in time to make the last hour of the preview night last week! It was a perfect night to walk through some of this year's displays and take it all in. It is spectacular! Each year has gotten better and this year is no exception so be sure to go check it out!
