George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners playing at the Maple Leaf Bar in New Orleans is always a good time! 

This group brings the New Orleans funk to life at this quintessential, signature, legendary musical sanctuary in the heart of the city. They usually play there on Monday for their ‘jam’ nights that they go into with no set list with the goal to fun playing together usually to a packed house full of regulars that come to see them. If you are in New Orleans on a Monday night, go catch them at the Maple Leaf. I’d be there on Monday evenings if I wasn’t in the mountains.

It has been so much fun getting to work with these talented musicians a few times so far this year. Loved getting to photograph them at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company – Mills River in January and over the moon to have gotten to catch them on their home turf for this Monday night Maple Leaf gig.
